it has to start somewhere...

Drum roll...so here we are then, the first blog entry.

Having been an avid reader of Aviatrix's and Sulako's blogs over the last few months I've felt tempted to have my own blogging adventure. Not that I will claim or hope to generate the same interest of the previously mentioned bloggers. My flying is certainly a bit more mundane, not to mention my writing skills.

So, who am I? I'm a 41 yr old private pilot living somewhere in New Zealand. I had the flying bug from a very early age, and like so many folk, did nothing about it, for a whole variety of reasons.

Nearly four years ago that all changed. I spent eight weeks over a summer getting my PPL, and this will form the basis of my blog entries for the immediate future. My intention is to write these entries as they occured - fortunately I kept a diary at the time.

Since those early days I've managed to get my aerobatic rating, and take great delight introducing passengers to the world of 'unusual attitude' flying. I try to fly at least twice a month - a mix of aerobatic flights and cross country flights in NZ.

Right, time to push that 'publish' button and see what happens...
